Weddings

Christian marriage is a solemn and public covenant between a man and woman in the presence of God.

First Step

Please call the parish office and ask to speak with a member of the clergy. If you are not an active member of St. Paul's, please make yourselves known to the clergy following a Sunday service of the proposed date.

Contact should be made at least six months in advance. If one or both parties have been divorced, additional time may be needed.

Clergy must approve all wedding dates and any public announcement of the wedding should wait until after your initial meeting with the clergy.

Premarital Preparation

Those married in the Anglican Church are expected to attend a program of premarital counseling. The sessions are arranged on an individual basis with a clergy member. You will find this to be time well spent as we discuss finances, respectful and helpful ways to communicate, and practical counsel about what it takes to make the marital relationship a true blessing and joy.

Use of Church for Weddings

St. Paul's Church sometimes approves, on a case by case basis, the use of the church building for weddings of those who are not members. Please contact us for further information.
